The selection of works and projects is funded by the European Union’s external assistance instrument to fulfill Ukraine’s commitments in the Framework Programme of the European Union for Research and Innovation “Horizon 2020”.
Project proposals are accepted under the following thematic directions:
Direction 1: Infrastructure projects;
Direction 2: Scientific and technical works and projects;
Direction 3: Scientific and technical projects aimed at supporting the innovation activities of higher education institutions and research institutions;
Direction 4: Scientific and technical projects of economic entities requiring the development of feasibility studies.
Key Innovations of the Competition:
increasing support for innovative projects and the development of the innovation ecosystem of HEIs/Research Institutions; expanding the circle of participants: Ukrainian participants of the “Horizon Europe” program will be able to fully participate in the competitive selection; giving preference to participants who, in case of winning the competition, also plan to apply for funding under the “Horizon Europe” program; giving preference to projects: with a larger number of young scientists in the author’s team; that will have a direct impact on the reconstruction and recovery of Ukraine in the post-war period; involving scientists who, starting from 2014, after a long stay abroad, returned and officially employed in Ukraine; conducting the Competition in the new electronic module of the National Scientific Information System “URIS” (nauka.gov.ua); free planning of research stages, without strict adherence to the completion of annual budget periods. Documents for participation must be submitted electronically (scanned copies of originals in .pdf format) to the National Electronic Scientific Information System “URIS” by the link until 23 hours 59 minutes – April 15, 2024.
The deadline for scientific and scientific-technical expertise cannot exceed 90 calendar days from the deadline for submitting applications to the Ministry of Education.
The start of implementation of winning projects is scheduled for August 2024.
